OBITUARY

Zelda V Fields Elmore, daughter of the late Johnnie Edwin Fields and Anna V Bloyd Fields, was born on Wednesday, June 20, 1928 in Green County and passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Elizabethtown. She was 94 years, 6 months, and 15 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher at Green County Schools after 36 years and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. After retirement, she worked for their family business for 15 years.

Survived by her husband of 71 years, George Elliott Elmore of Elizabethtown having united in marriage on December 24, 1951.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Martie Ray and Wynona Carol Elmore of Greensburg; a daughter: Georganna Elmore of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Elmore, and her husband Mohamad Omar El Sidani of Dubai, James Elliot Nathaniel (Nathan) Elmore, and his wife Haley Sapp Elmore of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren: Avery Elizabeth Elmore, Navie James Elmore both of Greensburg, Thea Sabine El Sidani of Dubai.

The funeral services for Zelda Vee Fields Elmore will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Bro. Jon Willis and Bro. Wilburn Bonta officiating.

Visitation is requested from 10 A.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
