Obituary

O B I T U A R Y

Wallace White of Green County, son of the late John William "Joe" White and Nora Catherine Davenport White, was born on Wednesday, July 1, 1942 in the Glenview Community of Green County. He was "the best little boy his momma had" given that his only siblings were his 5 sisters. Wallace passed away peacefully Wednesday night, February 18, 2026 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was 83 years, 7 months, and 17 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Gove Separate Baptist Church where he served many years as a Deacon, Trustee, and on the cemetery committee.

A lifelong resident of Green County, he spent his life farming milking dairy cows, raising tobacco, corn, hay and even green peppers. He was the unofficial mayor of Glenview, a childhood character of Grab and socialite of the Donansburg and Grab communities. He enjoyed riding horses and driving his mules and wagons.

Wallace was diagnosed with Prostate cancer a little over 7 years ago and struggled with COPD, but he did not let that slow him down. He was firm in his decision to not seek treatment for the Prostate cancer saying he did not want to live his life according to the schedules of doctors and hospitals. He wanted to go where he wanted and do what he wanted when he wanted for as long as possible. Typical Wallace!!

Wallace was full of mischief. He had a saying for every situation and stories for days. He loved his family, friends, church and community deeply.

He was united in marriage to "his little bride", Marilyn Nadine Judd White on June 3, 1961, who preceded him in death on September 14, 2018.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Gary Wallace White and Linda of Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law: Stephanie Lynn Toy and Mike Toy II of Frankfort; three grandchildren: Reece White of Wyoming, Megan and Ryan Nave of Ohio, Chelsie Sudduth and John Scott of Frankfort; four great-grandchildren: Sif, Skadi, Arkin, Keaton, and another baby Sudduth due in July; a special friend: Glenda Simpson of Greensburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty Sue and Sammy Bonta, Kay and Bub Bonta all of Green County; a brother-in-law: Twyman Lobb; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by three sisters: Mabel Davis, Judy Pierce, Polly Lobb.
