Obituary Ruth Elaine Pierce Young of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Garlan Pierce and Cleo Jeffries Pierce, was born on Thursday, May 14, 1942 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. She was 78 years, 8 months, 11 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Leon Young who preceded her in death on December 21, 1997. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Robbie Young, and Donnie and Sandra Young of Greensburg; a granddaughter: Brandy Pruitt and her husband, Eric of Burkesville; two great-grandchildren: Dylan Pruitt and Lily Pruitt both of Burkesville; and a host of other relatives and friends. …………………………………….. The funeral services for Ruth Elaine Pierce Young will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday, January 27, 2021at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Warf Cemetery. A walk-through ONLY visitation is requested from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 AM., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
