O B I T U A R Y Nelson Jeffries Olen Nelson Jeffries of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Olin Jeffries and Ortha Pierce Jeffries, was born on Sunday, December 21, 1947 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home. He was 73 years, 8 months, and 5 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Jeffries was retired from the Marion Adjustment Center and the former Clark Casual Furniture, Inc. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Judd Jeffries of Greensburg having united in marriage on October 12, 1968. Other survivors include a son: Dr. John Michael Jeffries of Hartford, Kentucky; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Janice McKinney, and Wanda & Larry McKinney all of Green County; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Diane & Bill Johnson of Greensburg, Linda & Rick Robb of Vine Grove, Janet & Glen Judd, and Tim & Susan Judd all of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Jeffries was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Mike McKinney. ……………………………….. The funerals services for Nelson Jeffries will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central time, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Warf Cemetery. Bro. James Walker officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service.
