O B I T U A R Y Maurice Taylor Beard of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Clem Taylor Beard and Mahauta "Tat" Kathleen Nunn Beard, was born on Thursday, April 27, 1944 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his home. He was 77 years, 8 months, and 8 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and attended the Community Baptist Church. Mr. Beard was also a retired driver for Ron and Brenda's Transport, and was a former manufacturing and factory worker. Survivors include his longtime companion: Norma Houk of Greensburg; a son and daughter: Robby Beard of Greensburg and Cindy Milby of Campbellsville; bonus children: Marcia and Brian Penick and Jeff and Debra Houk both of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Whitney Henderson and her husband, James, Dylan Penick, Jeffrey Houk, Kyle Houk, and Cody Houk; 9 great-grandchildren: Gracie, Aubree, Atlee, Cooper, Sawyer, Raegan, Allie, Remi and Alaya; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Cheryl and Doug Shive, and Ginger and Jimmy Wilcoxson all of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends. ……………………………….. A memorial service for Maurice Taylor Beard will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Community Baptist Church. Keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen and burial will take place in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Mark Lile and Bro. Dylan Penick officiating. Visitation is requested after 9 A.M., Central Time, until time of the service.
