O B I T U A R Y Martha Jean Phillips of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas Dabney Gills and Martha Rachel Phelps Gills, was born on Thursday, May 16, 1946 in Portsmouth, Virginia and departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her home. She was 76 years, and 23 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a homemaker, wife and mother. She united in marriage to Paul Wesley Phillips, Jr. on October 20, 1963 who preceded her in death on January 14, 2008. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Rachel and Kelly Helms of Green County, and Tina and Daniel Smith of Indiana; a son: Paul Wesley Phillips, III of Indiana; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Painter and Brenda Santoes both of Illinois; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Phillips was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Marie Garcia, Thelma DeLeon, and Thomas Stanley Gills. ………………………… There will be graveside services for Martha Jean Phillips held at the Springboro Cemetery in Springboro, Ohio.
