Obituary

Judy Faye Calhoun Judd of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rollin Calhoun, Mildred Inez Reynolds Kelly and stepfather, Lilburn Glyn Kelly, was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1953 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. She was 71 years and two days of age.

She had lived in Green County all her life. Graduated from Green County High School and worked for Fruit of the Loom for 25 years until the company moved operations overseas. She then enrolled at Campbellsville University and received her bachelor's degree in business and technology. She went on to work for Taylor Regional Hospital for 15 ½ years in a job she loved until retirement. During the 1990's was a very active band booster for the Green County Band serving as Vice-President and President. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where she served as secretary for several years. She loved to cook for her large family until sickness required her to stop. Baby sitting the grandchildren and watching them at ballgames, as much as she could, was a joy. Favorite hobbies were canning and reading. Her house dogs were always part of the family, not pets.

Survived by her husband of 54 years, Pat Judd of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 12, 1969.

Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Christopher Taylor Judd and Jackie Judd of Adair County, Nicholas Brandon Judd and Amiee Judd, and Timothy Matthew Judd and Jamie Judd all of Green County; seven grandchildren: Chelsea Elisabeth and Kendon Young, Bryce Mikhail and Breanna Judd, Sarah Ashley Judd, Andrew Nolan Judd, Landon Matthew Judd, Luke Patrick Judd, and Laynie Marie Judd; a great-grandson: Kross Alexander Young; bonus grandchildren: Brittany Danielle Swanson, Ashley Brooke Brown, Lindsay Garmon, Dakota Redman, Sierra O'Bryan Sturgeon, and Elijah O'Bryan; bonus great-grandchildren: Ryder Coulter, Hayden Sturgeon, Lizzie Garmon, and Elijah Garmon; four half-brothers and a half-sister: Jerry Kelly, Jeffrey Kelly both of Greensburg, Darrell Evans, Roy Evans both of Illinois, and Janice Kelly of Glendale; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a half-sister: Rhonda Jo Bunnell.
