O B I T U A R Y

Johnny Henderson of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late George Arvin Henderson and Elsie Akin Henderson, was born on Monday, February 6, 1939 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Green River Trails. He was 85 years, 10 months, and 24 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was retired from Greensburg Manufacturing, Theiss Chevrolet, and Milby Chevrolet. He also was a farmer and loved Deer Hunting.

Survived by his wife: Doris Howard Henderson of Greensburg, having united in marriage on October 26, 1963.

Other survivors include a daughter: Jennie Rucker of Greensburg; a sister: Mattie Gray of Louisville; a brother: James Henderson of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother: Vernon Henderson; five sisters: Dorothy Arnett, Hallie Waldrige, Frances Gray, Catherine Morrison, and Claris Akin.

The funeral services for Johnny Henderson will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Central Time, Friday, January 3, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Dannie Nelson officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Thursday and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
