O B I T U A R Y Mr. Joedene "Joe" Simpson of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Ural "Tobe" Simpson and Golda Dee McKinney Simpson, was born on Monday, December 19, 1932 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 85 years, 7 months, and 7 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a farmer, loved fishing, growing pumpkins, hunting arrowheads, and digging ginseng. Survived by his wife: Ruth Arnett Simpson of Green County. Other survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law: Elva Jo and Ronnie Coffey of Adair County; two grandchildren: Bridgette Morgan of Greensburg, and Cody Coffey of Adair County; two great-grandchildren: Tyler Atwood of Greensburg, and Casen Wyatt Coffey of Adair County; a great-great-grandson: Preston Atwood of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Simpson was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: Randy Simpson and Lanney Bolin. ................................... The funeral for Mr. Joedene "Joe" Simpson will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service.
