Hortense Pruitt Edwards of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Daniel Pruitt and Inus Jeffries Pruitt, was born on Monday, August 5, 1946 and departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home. She was 74 years and 4 months of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis Ray Edwards on February 12, 1981. Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law and a fiancé': Kaye and Elmore Simpson of Sulphur Well and Cindy Edwards and her fiancé', Thomas Hughlett of Greensburg; three sons and three daughters-in-law: Danny and Allison Edwards of Magnolia, Lanny and April Edwards of Campbellsville and Jason and Corinna Edwards of Adair County; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Rev. Mickey and Fran Pruitt of Green County and Barbara Pruitt of Greensburg; a special friend: Alvin Sturgeon of Green County and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son and a daughter: Bobby Ray Edwards and Sandy Sue Edwards; two brothers: Bobby Pruitt and Billy Pruitt.
