O B I T U A R Y

Eugene Anderson of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Martin V. Anderson and Margie Garrett Anderson, was born on Wednesday, April 26, 1944 in Letcher, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, March 15, 2024 at his home. He was 79 years, 10 months, and 19 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Matney Anderson of Greensburg, having united in marriage on November 7, 1964.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Clinton Keith Anderson and his wife, Josie of Mooresville, Indiana; a daughter: Regina Anderson of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Felicia Hill (Butch), Brandi Anderson and her 7 fur babies, Joey Anderson (Allie); four great-grandchildren: Aquista Devine (Dameon), Brayson Cox, Katon Cox, Brooklyn Hill; three sisters: Nadine Nibert, Betty Gross , Lena Cobb; a brother: Matthew Anderson; and a sister-in-law: Shirley Walls (Danny).

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Kenneth Anderson, Paul Dean Anderson, Martin "Sonny" Anderson, Bobby Anderson, Imogene Bullion, Edna Austin, Leroy Anderson, Emily Anderson, and Peggy Madden.

Honoring the families wishes, cremation was chosen. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River which can be made at the funeral home.
