Arlene Bishop Jeffries of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Acey Bishop and Aetna Davis Bishop, was born on Sunday, December 5, 1926 in Greensburg and departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Janet Wright's Care Home. She was 99 years, 8 months, and 29 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Orval Wayne Jeffries on July 21, 1945, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2014.

She is survived by her daughter: Joni Jeffries of Greensburg; her granddaughter: Melissa Vaughn and her husband, Berry of Summersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service for Arlene Bishop Jeffries will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ricky Arnett officiating.

Visitation is requested after 10 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the funeral home until time of the service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
