Obituary for Morris W. Ingram

O B I T U A R Y
Mr. Morris W. Ingram of Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late John Ingram and Alice Ingram, was born on Tuesday, August 14, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home. He was 90 years, 4 months and 26 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was retired from the Jefferson County Public Schools serving as Principal for Valley Elementary and Layne Elementary Schools. He was also a Veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Ingram was also a member of the Kentucky Education Association, Classroom Teacher Association, and the Elementary Principal Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Leona Elizabeth Johnson Ingram on February 26, 2016.
Survivors include a brother: John W. Ingram of Louisville; a sister: Judy Spurgeon of Tennessee; a caretaker: Tammy Ottersbach of Louisville; a close friend: Gloria Adams of Louisville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Ingram was also preceded in death by three brothers: Coy L. Ingram, Harold W. Ingram, and Dennis Ingram.

The funeral services for Mr. Morris W. Ingram will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ladies Chapel Cemetery. Bro. William Davenport and Bro. Garnett W. Davis officiating.
Visitation is requested after 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Ladies Chapel Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
