Obituary for Hobert Arthur Moran

O B I T U A R Y
Mr. Hobert Arthur Moran of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Claude B. Moran and Ara Gertrude Wright Moran, was born on Saturday, February 19, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home. He was 81 years, three months and six days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He was a employee with Campbellsville Industries and was a farmer. Mr. Moran was also Green County Singing Convention President for over 20 years.
He united in marriage to Carolyn Jean O'Banion Moran on June 2, 1956 who preceded him in death on January 2, 2010.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Roger and Paula Moran of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Arvin Ray of Greensburg; six grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer and Cody Bailey, Clint and Autumn Moran, Cole and Felicia Moran, Casey and Jacob Herbert all of Greensburg, Taylor Burress, and Tabitha Burress both of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Woodrow and Nora Jane Cook of Greensburg; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mr. Hobert Arthur Moran will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Clay Scott, Bro. Darrell Hensley, Bro. Blake Durrett, and Bro. Jim Collison officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Hosparus of Green River.
