Obituary for Delbert E. Jewell

O B I T U A R Y
Mr. Delbert E. Jewell of the Hudgins Community in Green County, Kentucky, son of the late William Homer Jewell and Beatrice Foley Jewell of Green County, was born on Thursday, May 8, 1941 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was 78 years, three months and 22 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. He was a lifelong self-employed Dairy and Tobacco Farmer.
Mr. Delbert Jewell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bettye J. Campbell Jewell of Green County, having united in marriage on May 16, 1960.
Other survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Danny Jewell and companion Pam Clark of Tennessee, Tony and Robbyn Jewell of Greensburg, Perry and Jackie Jewell of the Hudgins Community in Summersville; eight grandchildren: William Chaz and Kristin Jewell of Campbellsville, China and Bryan Thompson of Greensburg, Skylar and Jason Hollon of Lexington, Brooke and Josh White of Campbellsville, Emily Jewell of Greensburg, Destinee Dunn, Macey Capps, and Kala Capps all of Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren: Ryder Sadler, Lily Thompson, Brylee Thompson, Brody Martin, Kennah White, Paisley Capps, Willow Capps, Ellie Grace Kidd, and Jett William Jewell due October 15, 2019; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Delbert was also preceded in death by a brother: William Jewell, a sister: Anna Ruth Bale, and a daughter: Jeanna Marlene Jewell.

The funeral services for Mr. Delbert E. Jewell will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell and Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating.
Visitation is requested from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Monday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund or the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
