Obituary for Bonnie Lynn Risen

Mrs. Bonnie Lynn Wuopio Risen of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Roy Wuopio and Elaine Lang Wuopio, was born on Monday, January 1, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away quietly on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was 67 years, 9 months, and 23 days of age.
She was raised in Laurium, Michigan - Michigan's Copper Country. She graduated from Calumet High School prior to her attending both Michigan Technological University and Northern Michigan University where she received her degree in nursing. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired Registered Nurse. She was witty, sassy, smart, warm-hearted and loved people and animals.
Survived by her husband of 23 years, Henry Colman "Hank" Risen of Campbellsville, having united in marriage on June 7, 1995.
Other survivors include two sons: Henry C. Risen, Jr. of Washington State, and Charles L. Risen of Wisconsin; a brother and sister-in-law: Todd and June Woupio of Michigan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dewey and Wilma Johnson of Louisville, Woodson and Bernice Risen of Greensburg, William and Carol Risen of Washington, Wayne and Liz Matney of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Risen was also preceded in death by a sister: Jacqueline Schwartz; and a nephew: Chase Wuopio.
Cremation was chosen. No formal public visitation or services for Mrs. Bonnie Lynn Wuopio Risen will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg are in charge of the arrangements.
