O B I T U A R Y
Mrs. Ada Mae Paxton Wilcoxson of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Archie Paxton and Mattie Blakeman Paxton, was born on Saturday, July 6, 1929 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was 89 years, 3 months and 29 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. She was a Seamstress and Owner of the Attic Nook in Greensburg. Ada Mae was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a former City of Greensburg Councilwoman, Homemakers, and a member of the original Downtown Christmas Committee.
She united in marriage to Carl L. Wilcoxson on February 16, 1947 who preceded her in death on December 5, 1985.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Carla and Mike Risen of Franklin, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Daniel Risen and his wife, Rachel, and Sarah Aiken and her husband, Merrick all of Tennessee; a great-grandchild: Braxton Hollis Aiken of Tennessee; a sister-in-law: Susie Paxton of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wilcoxson was also preceded in death by three brothers: Norman Wayne Paxton, Leon Paxton, Coleman Paxton; a sister: Elizabeth Sullivan; and a sister-in-law: Lois Paxton.

The funeral services for Mrs. Ada Mae Paxton Wilcoxson will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Central Time, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greensburg United Methodist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
