Obituary for Virgil Everett Noe

O B I T U A R Y
Mr. Virgil Everett Noe of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Lonzie Noe and Dennie Carter Noe, was born on Monday, September 1, 1930 and departed this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was 87 years, 3 months, and 23 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Summersville Baptist Church. He was retired from Ingersoll Rand Products in maintenance and was a farmer. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, a member of the Green County Gideon Camp, was active in Hispanic ministry, and went on 13 mission trips to all different countries.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mattie Frances Noe on June 16, 2012, having united in marriage on May 8, 1948.
Survivors include two daughters and three sons-in-law: Patty and Mike Nunn, Lorie and Troy Hawkins all of Greensburg, and Danny White of Hardyville; five grandchildren: Kristy Mathis, Emily White, Amy Kirk all of Hart County, Bethany Hawkins, and Jessica Janes both of Greensburg; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Noe was also preceded in death by a daughter: Marsha White in 2005; and a sister: Joyce Morgan.

The funeral services for Mr. Virgil Everett Noe will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the South Summersville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery with military rites. Bro. Leslie Jewell, Bro. Troy Hawkins, and Bro. Marvin Janes officiating.
Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 7 A.M. until 9 A.M., Wednesday at the funeral home, and after 10 A.M., Wednesday at the South Summersville Baptist Church until time of the funeral service.
There will be a Masonic Rite Service conducted at 7:00 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home by the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home or the South Summersville Baptist Church.
