O B I T U A R Y
Samuel F. Cook

Mr. Samuel F. Cook of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Clifford Cook and Francis Just Cook Boothman, was born on Tuesday, November 3, 1936 in Sandoval, Illinois and departed this life on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home. He was 80 years, 7 months, and 19 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Cook loved to play golf, was a retired truck driver and loved to spend time with family. He was also a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.
Survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol Cook of Greensburg having united in marriage on April 23, 1983.
Other survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law: Ken Elmore of Greensburg, Sam Jr. & T.J. Cook, and Jeff Cook all of Illinois; two daughters and a son-in-law: Cindy McNeely of Illinois, and Lynn & Burrell Pittman of South Carolina; three brothers: Chuck Cook, Victor Cook both of Illinois and Richard Boothman of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jean & Morris Goff of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Cook was also preceded in death by three sisters and a brother: Emma Lutz, Connie Uhls, Eddi Gansauer, and Bill Cook.

The funeral services for Mr. Samuel F. Cook will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. Bro. Richard Morgan officiating.
Visitation is requested after 10:00 A.M., Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family memorial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
