O B I T U A R Y
Sallie M. Shuffett
Mrs. Sallie Matt Cox Shuffett of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late David Willie Cox and Norma Marie Osborne Cox, was born on Wednesday, October 16, 1929 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Green Hill Rehab and Care Center. She was 88 years, 4 months, and 24 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church. Mrs. Shuffett was also a retired lunchroom worker for the Green County High School and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Otha Shuffett on January 18, 1955 who preceded her in death on February 26, 1988.
Survivors include a step-daughter: Suzanne Hancock and her husband, Donnie of Greensburg; two granddaughters: Deborah Henderson and her husband, Stan of Tennessee, and Trina Ford and her husband, Trent of Greensburg; four great-grandchildren: Erin Henderson McEarl, Kacey Henderson, Quenton Ford, and Lexie Ford; one great-great-grandchild: Blakely McEarl; three sisters: Barbara Givens, Fanola Upton both of Greensburg, and Ella May of Bowling Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Shuffett was also preceded in death by five sisters and a brother: Mildred Coffey, Dorothy Givens, Ramona Livesay, Nellie Downey, Mary Nancy Cox, and Crawford Cox.

The funeral services for Mrs. Sallie M. Shuffett will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Gleason Bloyd, Bro. Todd Davis, Quenton Ford and Stan Henderson officiating.
Visitation is requested after 10 A.M., Central Time, Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
Memorials are suggested to the Liberty Separate Baptist Church Building Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
