Lynne Klingeman Givens
Mrs. Lynne Marlene Klingeman Givens of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Roger Klingeman and Marlene Chrysam Klingeman of Louisville, Kentucky, was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her home in Greensburg. She was 52 years, 8 months, and 22 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. She was a 1983 Eastern High School graduate, received her Undergraduate Degree and Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University in Biology. She was employed with the Green County Board of Education as a Biology Teacher at the Green County High School where she was also head volleyball coach for several years. She was an avid University of Louisville Cardinal Fan, and she loved kids and watching them play sports.
Besides her parents she is survived by her husband of 28 years, David P. Givens of Greensburg having united in marriage on May 13, 1989.
Other survivors include a daughter and two sons: Hannah Givens, Matthew Givens, and Michael Givens all of Greensburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law: David L. and Evelyn Givens of Greensburg; brother and sister-in-law: Jeff and Jennifer Klingeman of Goshen; a twin sister and brother-in-law: Lori and Kevin Heslin of Louisville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tod and Julie Smyrichinsky of Greensburg and Dan and Sherri Givens of Alabama; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
The funeral services for Mrs. Lynne Klingeman Givens will be held at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Green County. Rev. Liz Kaznak-Hall officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg are in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation is requested from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Green County High School and from 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M., Monday at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Twisted Pink-Breast Cancer Research, Hosparus of Green River, or the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home, church or the school.
