Lyda Anne Blakeman Gaunce

Mrs. Lyda Anne Blakeman Glasscoe Gaunce of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert E. Blakeman and Elizabeth Sally Durham Blakeman, was born on Monday, February 14, 1927 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 90 years, 8 months, and 23 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.
Survived by her husband of 40 years, James Ronald Gaunce of Greensburg having united in marriage on October 3, 1977.
Other survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law: Guyanne and Jerry Corbin, Becky and Billy Joe Lowe all of Greensburg, Janie Ruth Ritenour, and Ronda and Steve Willis all of Texas; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Robert and Connie Glasscoe of Greensburg, Doug and Lanay Gaunce, and David Gaunce all of Texas; a brother and three sisters-in-law: Richard "Dickie" and Connie Blakeman, Judy Blakeman, and Patricia Blakeman all of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren & Spouses: April & Robert Parris, Guy & Holly Corbin, Kyle & Jasmine Glasscoe, Alex & Faith Corbin, JoAnne & Scott Beard, Derick & Amber Ritenour, Quinn & Haley Lowe, James Ritenour, Chris Lowe, and Taylor Anne Glasscoe; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Gaunce was also preceded in death by a son: William Lester Glasscoe; five brothers and a sister: Robert "Bobby" Blakeman, Billy Blakeman, Charles Hughett Blakeman, Joe Durham Blakeman, Lynn Taylor Blakeman, and Katherine Shuffett.

The funeral services for Mrs. Lyda Anne Blakeman Gaunce will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Dr. Gary Ervin officiating.
Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Saturday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
