O B I T U A R Y
Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jake Creason and Flora McCubbin Creason, was born on Friday, February 23, 1923 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 94 years, 6 months, and 10 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church, taught Bible study and Sunday school for approximately 60 years, served in the church choir, Missions President, and Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Circle. When in her late 40's she returned to high school to earn her diploma and went on to enroll at Lindsey Wilson College where she graduated in 1973 with an Associates of Arts Degree. She also took extended classes at U.K and W.K.U. which included Library Science. She was a former machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc., and was the Green County Book Mobile Librarian. She loved missionary work and served in other various organizations for over 40 years.
She united in marriage to Porter Marr on February 8, 1940 who preceded her in death on June 29, 1999.
Survivors include a daughter: Judy Marr Arnett of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law: Barry and Carol Marr of Bowling Green; six grandchildren: Lisa Arnett Buck and her husband Robert, Susan Arnett, Tommy Arnett, Chad Arnett and his wife, Martha, B.J. Marr and his wife, Traci, and Derek Marr and his girlfriend, Jeannie Rollenhagen; 11 great-grandchildren: Anthony Buck, Dylan White, Alex Arnett, Alison Arnett, Autumn Arnett, Audrey Arnett, Max Marr, Addison Marr, Lucas Marr, Maryanna Rollenhagen, and George Rollenhagen; a brother and two sisters-in-law: Arthur and Doris Jean Creason, and Nettie Creason all of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Marr was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Edgar Thomas Arnett; brothers and sisters: Carl Creason, Rollin Creason, Alton "John Boy" Creason, Nellie Marr, Dorsey Russell, and Clovis Creason.

The funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Robert Knight officiating.
Visitation is requested from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
