Adrin Lee Shelton

Mr. Adrin Lee Shelton of Alvaton, formerly of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Elvis Walter Shelton and Hallie Estes Shelton Beams, was born on June 15, 1940 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Franklin Medical Center in Franklin, Kentucky. He was 76 years, 9 months, and 16 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a retired logger and truck driver having worked for 16 years for McCubbins Logging and over 30 years for Taylor-Green Ready Mix.

Mr. Shelton united in marriage to Elsie Taylor Shelton on November 20, 1978 who preceded him in death on December 2, 2006.

Other survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law: James Lee & Brandie Shelton of Alvaton; two step-daughters and a step-son-in-law: Angie & Gordon Berry of Summersville and Dawanda Conyers of Horse Cave; one sister-in-law: Martha Shelton of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Channing Coates, Hunter Shelton, Halle Shelton, and Hayden Shelton; four step-grandchildren: Rachel & Jacob Meredith, Zach & Noelle Berry, Nathan Berry and Dustin Carter; three great grandchildren: Ryder Lee Shelton, Aiden Coates and Ansley Coates; two step-great grandchildren: Mackenzie Noe and Joseph Blake Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Shelton was also preceded in death by two brothers and one half brother: Ellis W. Shelton, Eugene Shelton, and Ewond Beams.


The funeral services for Mr. Adrin Lee Shelton will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Gordon Berry and Bro. Bobby Neal will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Gideon Bibles or the Bethlehem Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
